What Is Chopin's Zal?

Chopin's music is known for it's rare combination of emotional prowess, weaved with huge technical demands, which together, in the hand of the professional, sounds like the most delicate and amazing music ever written. One aspect of Chopin's music is rarely discussed and is actually of a large importance to the playing style and composing style of Chopin. I am of course talking about Chopin's Zal, the mysterious melancholic/longing anxiety which he produced in his music, and mainly came out in the mazurkas.
