It is thought that when she was shot, Ms Chasen was returning to her home in Westwood, in the west of Los Angeles, from the premiere of Burlesque, a new film starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. Unnamed sources told the Los Angeles Times that earlier in the night she had attended the screening of the film at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and an after-party at the W hotel in Hollywood
